Patient Information
  • TF MEDICAL - Family Medicine Specialist Clinic provides Family Medicine & General Practice services.

  • We are a Private Billing clinic. Only a portion of the cost of your consultation will be covered by Medicare and the remaining will be out of pocket. 

  • Charges very depending on the length of time you spend with the Doctor, the complexity of your medical conditions, & if additional services & treatments are performed. 

  • All new patients will receive a breakdown of our fess before there appointment. 

  • The cost of procedures varies so please ask us about the cost prior to booking a procedure. 

  • All accounts must be settled on the day via DebitCard, VisaCard, MasterCard or Cash. 

  • If you have registered your bank account details with Medicare the rebate will be sent directly to your nominated bank account. If you have not registered with Medicare you can do so on their website: www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online

Clinic Hours / Appointments 
  • Consultations are typically available every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday between 1:00 pm - 7:30 p.m and every alternative Saturday & Sunday between 8:30 am - 5:30 p.m 

  • New Patient appointments are up to 40 minute duration 

  • Standard Repeat appointments are up to 20 minute duration

Results

  • If your Doctor send you for any pathology (such as blood tests, biopsies, cervical screening) & radiology results (such as X-rays, CT scans,Ultrasound, MRI) we ask that you make a review appointment to discuss & follow up your results.

  • If the results are normal you will be told so.

  • If there is something your Doctor wishes to discuss with you, you will be asked to make an appointment.

  • If you do not return to discuss your results, it is important that you exercise your responsibility to call us and check that your result has been processed and seen by a Doctor. 

  • If a pathology or radiology result indicates a need for urgent review, your Doctor or one of our nursing or administration staff will contact you as soon as the result is viewed.

Repeat Scripts & Referrals 

  • To ensure the best medical care, a review of your medical condition must take place before a repeat prescription or ongoing referral can be provided

  • If you have seen your Doctor recently and have lost your script or referral, an appointment may not be required if the Doctor is happy to re-issue the script/referral. Allow 24 hours for your prescription or referral to be re-issued. An administration fee of $20 will be charged. 

Cancellation Policy
  • We do ask that you contact us 24 hours prior your appointment should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment to a patient in the waiting list. 

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee.

  • We are closely situated on the corner of Burke Rd & Malvern Rd

  • Street parking is available

  • We are easily reached by tram & train  - 72 Tram (Stop 50), Glen Waverley Lane Train (Gardiner Station)
